I honestly do not see the bars opening anytime soon. The proposals that have been put forward to the Spanish Government would be near to impossible to put into practice and impossible to police.Going out to socialise be it a meal or simply a drink with friends SHOULD be something to enjoy and look forward to The current proposals are far from that. In all honesty despite the great downturn in both deaths and infections I cannot see bars and restaurants opening this summer I hope I am wrong but thats how I feel at the moment
I think the government will be careful to try and eliminate a second wave which would bring a return to lockdown and destroy morale

You may well be right Orangepicker.
But , if the bars / restaurants don't open before the autumn , this area will take years to recover.
Many venues were already struggling through the winter months , and were depending on the Easter holidays , to kick start them off for the summer season.
My sympathies are also with the many entertainers , who depend on the venues for work.
Their income has dried up now , and I fear many will have to return to the UK.
I'm one of the lucky ones , I play for pleasure these days at jam sessions , and not to sustain myself financially .

Just been reading that no Coronavirus deaths in Alicante, Elche or Torrevieja hospitals for 5 days now .
That's good news.
I'm not sure what the next step should be.
But , the Spanish Prime Minister is making an announcement shortly ( unless he already has ? ).
Could be what he suggested for May 2nd might go ahead .
Then , at least we can get out for a walk and exercise .
