Flamingo

These birds are breeding at the Torrevieja and La Mata lakes for the first time in 37 years. About 600 chicks have been spotted. Hope they get left in peace - such fantastic creatures. :)

Not sure if they migrate further South, Athos .
There are Flamingo's at the salt lake near Santa Pola .
I'm sure they're there all the year.
I often see them , when driving to the airport.

There is a large group of Flamingo's in the La Mata lake saw them last week

The strong migrate but some remain in the salt lakes all year. They are fantastic in flight, you can hear the swishing of their wings as the pass overhead in large groups.
A wonder of nature.

Probably Chicken. Remember to remove the feathers and avoid the parson’s nose.
