Bars and restaurants only being able to have 30% custom, isn't exactly the lifeline they need to get back up and running financially, after the months of being closed .
And that figure will stop them from being able to afford to put on entertainment.
I still fear , many venues will not reopen.

Quire a lot of restaurants close for over a month during the year and open again as normal , seems better to be open at 30% capacity that closed at least they get some income in

Yes - I know a months holiday is not uncommon to be closed for some bars and restaurants, Freddo.
But , the ones I know that practice this , usually opt for December ( then open for Xmas and New Year ) , others close in January, after the festivities.
3 months closed, especially over the Easter holidays, might leave them financially skint.
And limiting clientele to 30% , in some cases , might barely cover their costs.

As a bar owner operating at 30 per cent capacity and only taking 30 per cent of takings is not a viable option,by the time you have paid the autonomo, staffs contracts and rent, which will all be the same as a normal month I will be losing money I also suspect that not everyone one will be dashing out to enjoy their new found freedom I do think that the fear factor will be around for some time to come

Not with me Orangepicker. I can't wait to get out and enjoy a freshly poured pint .
I never drink beer in the house. I don't think it has quite the same taste, from a bottle of a can .

If you do not drink from bottle or can you will have to wait a little bit longer, because draught beer in any bar will be out of date by the time they re open. So wait for the supply chain to get up and running first would be my advice

Drinking from a bottle ... I could never understand that trend ?
Not the most hygienic thing to do.

@ Orangepicker. Yes- a lot of beer will be wasted , after this time .
If you'd like to p.m. me , letting me know your establishment, I'll bring a few friends along and we'll have our first "post lockdown" beer in your venue . :D

a 30% opening for bars and restaurants is simply not a viable option for most owners--they will still have overheads--will landlords take a 70% reduction in rents?

They have to employ chefs and staff etc--even after making redundancies for a lower number of patrons

Will prices go up appropriately to cover their costs? very unlikely

What about price increases as products will be more difficult to source with people in the supply chain going bust and also increase in the price of produce bought in because they will not have the economies of scale !

It is not a serious solution to Spain's economic problems and I will go further in that it demonstrates the Spanish Government's lack of empathy with the people who have to live through this troubling time

The only thing this edict achieves --It allows the Spanish government to claim the high ground and to feel good about their own incompetence.
