A good question Michael.
I don't know about the tourist industry, but I have noticed the Chinese restaurants are a bit quieter.
That's from passing them..I havent had a Chinese meal for a while .
It seems that several on the Orihuela Costa have notices on their doors , saying they are closed temporarily for renovations .
