Just thought I'd mention - I'm now nearing retirement and apparently the scammers view my age group as easy fodder.
Seems the older we get the more trusting we become. Just 2 days ago came across a very intelligent man who was scammed re the purchase of a campervan - the one thing, indeed the only thing that stood out was the price - it was very cheap.
This scam being reported by the BBC has 3 classic elements.
First the returns - 100% in 100 days.
Second the scammer - he uses religion as his guise of being trustworthy.
And third - perhaps the worst - the involvement of a 'trustworthy' bank.
The lesson for me is that as i get older I will trust more in family, after all if i give the pot away they get nothing
