Ryanair Cancel Flights!

I appreciate this would not appear to be new news but I've just received an email from Ryanair cancelling our flights on 8 August!

I thought the Spanish government had announced Spain was open to foreign tourists from the July 1st. I know they had said people from the UK were not currently allowed but this would be regularly reviewed. The Ryanair decision cannot be linked to this, can it?

What bizarre times we live in!

The cancelled flight is from Manchester to Alicante on the 8 August. I thought we had booked the return flight separately but have discovered since my first post that the return flight (Alicante to Manchester) on 24 August is on the same booking and it is NOT cancelled.

My wife is currently hanging on the line to Ryanair to ask why they are cancelling so far in advance when air travel is supposed to be resuming, and how they can cancel half of our booking thereby making the second half useless! She may be some time!

The wife waited for over an hour on the phone and finally got through. The flight must be cancelled for scheduling reasons as the helpdesk operator simply re-scheduled us for the day before, 7 August. Panic over. Good old Ryanair!

Good news that you're now fixed up Sheff.
I've had to Ryanair flights to Frankfurt cancelled.
I have to wait now, and see when Germany opens its borders to non German nationals.
No point me rescheduling yet.
