All the hotels in Benidorm will be closing this Wednesday.

You are absolutely right but it needs to happen rather quickly and quickly does not happen here in Spain as we all know .As an employer of some 9 people I have no instructions as to what are their and my rights legally. They have been paid for the 15 days of closure by way of holiday entitlement but after that who knows .Will I have to pay their social security for the 2 weeks of enforced closure some 2k e I am fairly certain the landlord will want his rent for this period so by by calculations I will lose some 20k in revenue and still have to pay 5k in fees and how many thousands are there like me ?

I'm on messenger with a friend , who is now at Alicante Airport, JamesB.
She arrived in Benidorm last Thursday for a weeks holiday , and was going to stick it out , despite the lockdown.
Herself , and other guests were told yesterday, that ALL hotels in Benidorm will be closed on Wednesday .
Dave McQueen ( Benidorm transfers), has just out a post on f.b. confirming this .

Hmmm ! I tend to take most of what the local free rags print , with a pinch salt.

It appears that the hotels are in fact , closing this week.
Although , I believe that many have been empty , since the last day or two.
