UPDATE RESTRICTIONS NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVELS FROM NON-EU TO EU/SCHENGEN VALID TILL 31.5.2021.
From the BOE published this morning, the 30th of April 2021: the current measures in place are extended, and a new clause added, stated further below.
The list with exempted countries remains unchanged, meaning the UK is NOT on it.
Exempted:

3. Ruanda.
4. Singapur.
5. Corea del Sur.
6. Tailandia.
7. China.
II. Regiones administrativas especiales de la República Popular China:

The added clause:

b) Holders of a long-stay visa issued by a Member State or Schengen Associated State who are heading to that country.
c) Health professionals, including health researchers, and elderly care professionals who are heading to or returning from their work activity.
