A new 50 pence piece will come into circulation this weekend , to commemorate Brexit .

A good idea ? , or to quote Michael Heseltine , it's just rubbing remain voters noses in it ( meaning the defeat for them ).
Any opinions ?

I see that a number of prominent people , including remain M.P's are going to reject the new 50 pence piece .
One is quoted as saying that every one of these coins that she finds in her change , from purchases , she will donate to the homeless.
At least, some good will come out of that rebellious gesture .

The Royal Mint produced a similar 50p coin for both of last year's aborted Brexit leaving dates, one when Mrs May was in office and the second when Johnson took over at No. 10.

I would assume that there was already a requirement for a fresh minting of 50p coins, which happens with coins and notes on a regular basis. It really no big deal.

Youre right Emel.
That's why I don't understand the threats of boycotting the use of these coins .
It's only money ?
